NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND EXPERIMENTAL VALIDATION OF THE MODES OF A BLISK UNDER DIFFERENT BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

The mode characteristics of a blisk are crucial for its failure analysis. In this study, the three-dimensional finite element method was employed to study the modes of a single blade, a blisk, a rotor and a rotor-casing system. The modes under different rotational speeds were reported and the influences of different boundary conditions were discussed. Experiments were carried out on a blisk and a rotor-casing system under non-rotating conditions to validate the modes predicted by the numerical models. The numerical results were in good agreement with the experiment results.
