This paper deals with computational approaches related to nonlinear dynamics of the elastomeric vibration isolators used for HVAC systems. It was taken into account both the base isolation of the equipments, and the ensemble of air ducts within HVAC systems. The analysis started from the classical cubical rigidity equations for nonlinear dynamics characterization, in order to provide the capabilities of model-based simulation tools. Rational-power nonlinearities were also considered. High-level characterization of behaviour of the passive vibration isolation devices in presence of rigidity nonlinearities frames the goal of this study.
