Target localization is an important task for array signal processing. In this paper, a novel method which is based on traditional Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) method and modal array signal processing method is proposed. As the array gain and array direction value of modal array processing are decided by the truncation number, the accuracy of proposed method is less limited by the signal to noise and signal to reverberation than the traditional MUSIC method. Simulation result shows that the proposed method can both achieve better accuracy than compared method in different conditions.
